Ms Rugby Ohio Finalists

Anne Rolf, Sr - Saint Joseph Academy

Position: Prop, Hooker, Wing
University/College: Lindenwood University

In 4 short years at Saint Joseph Academy, Annie Rolf has not only played rugby but defined what it means to be an elite Jaguar Rugby Player.  

This year as co-captain she has lead the team to an undefeated league seasons, 4th place finish at the Midwest Tournament, and 7th place at the National Girls Rugby Tournament.  Anne has 3 State Championship Titles under her belt.  

Annie not only is a 4 year varsity letter winner but also was voted by her teammates and coaches as Rookie of the Year in 2014 and MVP Forward in 2015, 2016, and 2017. 

Anne’s higher level of rugby includes Celtic All Ohio Elite, U18 Girls High School All American, U20

Women’s Junior All American, and Midwest Thunderbirds.

Hannah Carruthers, Jr - Saint Joseph Academy

Position: Fullback

Hannah has played Varsity SJA Rugby for 2 years now. In her rookie season she helped the team win a State Championship and a National Title. 

Jay Twitty, So - Walnut Hills

Position: Hooker/Flanker

Although one of the teams younger players, Jay is a leader on and off the field and is very vocal in practice. As a Freshman, she was key to our team winning state last year.

Jenna McCloskey, So - Amherst

Position: Scrum Half

She has a 4.5 GPA
Made Regional Celtic Elite team for 2017

Comments: Jenna has overcome an Auto-Immune disease with months of Chemo that limited her playing time as a freshman and is now one of the fittest players on the team.
