Columbus Youth and College All-Stars Play Together

Collegiate All-Star play returns to the Midwest with the 2017 match-up of Ohio vs. Michigan. The teams will face off in Columbus at Ohio State’s Fred Beekman Park this Saturday, May 13th.

The Ohio Collegiate All-Stars are coached by Taylor Howden of Tiger Rugby and Ohio State Director of Rugby and forwards coach Tom Rooney. The team is made up of top tier players from collegiate programs across the state including the 2017 DI-AA National Champions, Notre Dame College, as well as other big names such as Ohio State and Cincinnati. The Ohio roster boasts a large crop of homegrown talent in fourteen Rugby Ohio Alumni.

As a preview to the All-Star match the Columbus Olympic Rugby League, (the city’s youth tackle 7's league) will play its City Championship Tournament on Beekman’s southern pitch with the first match kicking off at 12:20 PM.

12:20 PM—Columbus Olympic Rugby League tournament kick off.

2:30 PM—Ohio vs. Michigan College All-Star kick off.
