Sharyn Beodeker joins Columbus Olympic Rugby

Columbus Olympic Rugby would like to announce the formation of a new middle school girls rugby program for 7th & 8th grade girls in the Northern Columbus area.

Coaching this new program will be Sharyn Beodeker. Coach Beodeker is a USA Rugby Level 200 certified coach who  recently moved to the Columbus area in 2016 to pursue her Master of Fine Arts Degree at the Columbus College of Art and Design.

As an undergraduate at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Sharyn received two Bachelors degrees in Fine Arts and Art Education.  Sharyn was also a member and multiple season MVP of the KU women's rugby team where she received All American honors. Upon graduating she began her coaching career as an Assistant on the KU women's team under the direction of Head Coach, Sean Cobb.

Currently Sharyn is playing for the Scioto Valley Women's Rugby Club and will be joining W1823 team this Summer for the 7's season.

Coach Beodeker is enthusiastic about joining the Columbus Olympic Rugby Program as a coach and we are very excited to have her join our team. We look forward to helping her build this new middle school girls rugby program, which will be a first in the Columbus area. Sharyn was not only brought on to start this new girls team, but to also help lead the development of a new direction in youth rugby for girls in Columbus overall.
